Welcome! We are Indoor Minotaur, a duo of experienced writers and game-makers, and we are creating an adult RPG called Daughter of Essence.
Our belief is that a game can be good and titillating--that quality gameplay and eroticism aren't mutually-exclusive, and that the game itself should not merely be a vehicle for quick, meaningless flings for the player to mash through.
In Daughter of Essence, you play as Mercy, a young woman who just wants to be free. Free from obligation, free from the oppressive watchfulness of her family, and free from the harsh laws of the empire. As one of the only living daughters of essence, however, freedom is not so simple. The Oldlight empire and the Church both want her captured, and countless other factions want her strange gifts for their own gain.
To be truly free, you must be willing to sacrifice.

- Choose your class specialization, distribute stats how you want, equip different skillsets for different battles, change weapons mid-fight, raise proficiency with weapon types by using them, mix-and-match equipment to create your ideal build!
- Sideview RPG combat with an Active Time Battle system and distinct timed-attack patterns for each weapon type and spell
- Draw "essence" from elemental enemies, enchanted items and sexual encounters and use that essence to unlock new spells, potions, equipment upgrade runes, weapons skills, key items, and more!
- Character-driven narrative with many paths and secrets
- Relevant and meaningful sexual encounters, both written and illustrated. All scenes featured in Daughter of Essence are consensual. We believe sex should be fun (and often weird). As long as it's consensual, virtually nothing else is off the table
- A large, complex world with many factions, races, religions
