New Weekly & Alpha Release: v0.108!


Hellooooooo, and thanks for joining us for another new release! We focused a lot on revisions and improvements this week, including portraits, weapon skill books, and in many cases, the skills themselves.

The long quest chain from Fogsborough to Fort Wilkes to New Light has finally concluded, and a number of new friends can be made along the way. I've also begun work on a cool new area called Emerald Flats, but that isn't quite ready for exploration yet. You can look forward to seeing some of that next week.

  • Added the smugglers to New Light and the return home
  • Added the conclusion of the raft-building quest and the departure from Fort Wilkes
  • Added hazards to the overworld while rafting
  • Quinn and Bartleby can now be recruited to the cove
  • Revised Beatrix’s portraits
  • Revised Orus Portraits
  • Overhauled the skillbooks
  • A number of skills have been adjusted for balance
  • The skill abbreviations in “Sense Essence” have been adjusted for continuity
  • Fixed some text runoff and typos
  • Fixed an issue where picking up the tools & rope in Fort Wilkes didn’t correctly count towards quest progress

New Release: version 0.165!

Hey folks, sending out a new release to the world, even if it's not a huge one. This week has largely been a flurry of activity, not least of which the Steam Store ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/1517470/Daughter_of_Essence/ ) (now live), the website ( https://indoorminotaur.wixsite.com/home ) (now also live) and the Patreon page (which was locked for having "implied nudity" on public posts but is now restored after a number of edits were made).  I think there are something like 76 attainable members of the cove now (though not all attainable in the same playthrough), which is ludicrous when I think of how much work goes into adding just 1 person to that whole complex operation. The latest member, Tom, is cool, but there's still more I want to write up on this particular character, so expect to see more of him next week. Anyway, did I mention the release date is set?! March 12th. Keep your eye on the prize. Also be sure to add our game to the wishlist on Steam. U
